Business Model Canvas (BMC) and Lecture Series
After designing our venture proposal, the team worked on making Business Model Canvas or BMC. First, we made our Empathy Map where we made some questions intended for prospect customers. Its like we're putting ourselves into the position of our customers. Its nice to have it first since it will linked us towards our validation process. With this we were able to reach out to our customers and to know there thoughts about our product.
During making our BMC we divided the task so it would be faster for us to make it. Each members participated well. And you know, before this activity I had misinterpretation on our concept because I thought this concept opted to cater unemployed people and offers home servicing, but no. With this activity things became clearer to me and certainly understood our concept. Within this activity, we're able to surveyed different individuals through the means of google forms. We were able to know there thoughts about our venture concept.
Base on our survey to more than 40 persons who willingly participated, 64% of them answers that they needed a job right now and 86% of them are willing to apply in a website that is supported by government agencies and universities. From 36 responses when they're asked about there thoughts of intermediary website for applicants and employers, most of them answers a positive response. This survey only limited to employees' side and we still need to validate this proposal to employers' section which are those universities and companies.
Recently, we attended lecture series regarding of course on entrepreneurship. The lecture focused on lecturing us about intellectual property rights and technology transfer. Well, from what I had understand, intellectual property rights was more likely a systematic validation for ownership. In business, there are specific terms or time to consider to acquire own branding and you have to renew it within that period so it won't be fall onto a public domain. Other competitors can get some ideas from existing brands as long as they won't totally copy the concept and they make an innovation out of it. Thanks to Dr. Dumancas for sharing her knowledge about this field.
