Conceptualizing Venture Proposal
Last February, like a few weeks ago, we were given a task as a team to make a venture proposal for our entrepreneurial mind subject, so basically it's all about business. Well, I think entrepreneurs have done this phase before putting up their business and making innovation. And surely this could be a stepping stone for us to learn about the science of entrepreneurship and be conscious as well about the social issues that might as well, we can probably find a solution.
So, this was the story on how we came up with our venture proposal. Well, the team was so cooperative in making our proposal. We exchanged different ideas and we had a lengthy discussion about it. To mention, we had that idea of creating a fertilizer out of organic materials but it simply wasn't considered because it seems ordinary and considering the tight competition of agricultural products in the market. So we eliminate that idea and think of other ideas, and one of my teammate suggests that "why not make a lite block out of organic materials?" and for a while we all agreed with it, perhaps it was a good idea since it relates to engineering but the problem was the lack of equipment and the execution. So, we tried to think of another concept. We even thought of making durian briquettes, organic pesticides. cockroach eliminator, organic gasoline and too many to mention. However, we all rejected those concepts due to different conflicts.
After several days of brainstorming and discussing a possible concept, finally we all agreed on one concept which is closely related to our course and can possibly address the issue of services efficiency due to pandemic. We are proposing an internet base venture in the form of a web and our goal is to offer a service particularly in the engineering aspect.
Personally, it was a good experience so far. We are able to communicate with each other as a team, exchanging ideas and defending our individual concept. We are very particular about the concept since it involves resources and execution, and we have to consider as well the current situation that limits us. We've learned that we should really know our concept or do further research, and as much as possible narrow down to the possible pro's and con's on it so we could have a little advance knowledge about this venture.
